A neat rosette of glossy, arching green leaves surrounds a tall, vivid bloom that stays bright for months. The colourful part is actually a cluster of bracts, which protect the tiny true flowers tucked inside.

In the wild, guzmanias grow perched in the branches of rainforest trees, so they're used to dappled light and gentle watering. Indoors, they're wonderfully low maintenance and look great on a coffee table, a bright shelf or a bathroom windowsill.

Care at a glance

Light: Bright, indirect light.
