This Calavera salsa from Miski, made by Estela Arredondo who brought her family's Mexican cooking to the UK through pop ups and markets, blends fresh scotch bonnet and habanero chillies with tomato, onion and orange for a proper serious heat balanced by a bit of citrusy sweetness.

It's brilliant with grilled meat, fish or a bag of tortilla chips, and a little goes a long way if you're not used to real heat. A properly fun gift for anyone who calls themselves a chilli head.
