A soft splash of blue for the dining table. These jute placemats from British Colour Standard come in a pretty cornflower shade, with the natural woven texture that makes jute so easy to live with. They are one of the brand’s most popular colours, and it’s easy to see why.

They come tied together as a set of 4 with jute string and a BCS swing tag, so they are ready to give as a housewarming present or a table treat for yourself. They look just as good in a modern kitchen as in a more traditional dining room, and jute is a natural insulator, so they help protect your table from hot plates and dishes. No two mats are exactly alike, which is part of the charm.

They are grown and woven in Bangladesh and Fair Trade made. They would look lovely with pale blue or white glassware.

Pair them with the matching coasters.
