Labisia Turtle Back
The Labisia Turtle Back is a rare tropical plant prized for its deep green, turtle-shell–patterned foliage. With the right care, it can thrive and maintain its striking texture and colour.
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light.
Avoid direct sun—it can scorch the leaves and fade the pattern. Thrives under filtered light, making it ideal for north- or east-facing windows or gently shaded areas.
Water: Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry.
Reduce watering slightly in winter, but don’t let it fully dry out. Use room-temperature water for best results.
Tip: If leaves curl or crisp, it may be too dry. Yellowing often indicates overwatering.
Humidity: Labisia Turtle Back LOVES humidity. Aim for 60–80% humidity. Create humidity with pebble trays, humidifiers, or grouping with other plants.
