Peperomia 'Creme Brulee' is a compact, charming little houseplant with rounded, slightly ruffled leaves in soft, caramel toned greens with darker veining, like the burnished top of its namesake dessert. Neat and undemanding, it stays small and tidy, making it ideal for shelves, desks and smaller spaces.

Its thick, semi succulent leaves store water, so it is forgiving of the odd missed watering and a brilliant, low fuss choice for beginners.

Care at a glance

Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost dry out. It would rather be slightly dry than soggy.
Humidity: Happy in average rooms.
Note: Generally considered non toxic and one of the more pet tolerant houseplants, though it is still best kept out of reach.
