Peperomia 'Hope' (Peperomia tetraphylla) is a charming, low maintenance trailing plant loved for its round, coin like leaves arranged along soft, spreading stems. Its lush, semi succulent foliage gives it a full, cheerful look, whether trailing from a shelf or mounding in a pot.

One of the easier houseplants to keep, it is forgiving of the odd missed watering and a lovely choice for beginners. As a bonus, it is non toxic and pet tolerant.

Care at a glance

Light: Bright, indirect light. It tolerates a little lower light, though growth slows.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost dry out. Its succulent like leaves store water, so avoid overwatering.
Humidity: Happy in average rooms.
Note: Generally considered non toxic and one of the more pet tolerant houseplants, though still best kept out of reach.
