The Pineapple Plant ‘Mi Amigo’ is a compact, ornamental bromeliad prized for its spiky tropical foliage and small decorative pineapple fruit. Native to warm regions of South America, it naturally grows in bright, sunny environments and brings an exotic, architectural feel to indoor spaces or summer patios.
Origin: Tropical South America
Light: Bright, indirect light; can tolerate some gentle direct sun
Water: Keep fresh water in the central “cup” (rosette) of the plant and refresh it weekly. Also, water the soil, allowing itnto dry between light waterings.
Like other bromelaids, the plant won’t produce another fruit, but pups (baby plants) will appear around the base. These can be potted-up to make new plants.
