Grow an avocado tree at home! Cork float for avocado seed germination.
Give it to those who love growing, observing, and waiting... and especially to those who devour avocado toast with passion.
This lovely illustration was created by Justine Jossart
How to:
1. Remove the skin from your avocado pit
After enjoying your best avocado toast, remove the pit, wash it and remove its thin brown skin.
2. Prepare him for swimming
Place it in a paper towel, moisten it well and place it in an airtight bag or container
3. Give it some time
Leave it in the dark for ≈ 4 weeks
As soon as your pit has split and a small root appears, it means it is ready for swimming!
4. Put on his buoy... and into the water!
Fill a glass, vase, or other container with water. Place the seed on its float, with the root well submerged in the water. #poolparty
5. Watch your avocado tree grow
Be patient, a stem will quickly grow and leaves will appear! Once you have several leaves and shoots, you can repot it in soil.
