These handsome cucumber pickles are both sweet and sexy.
Doused in tumeric and shaken up with our special blend of garlic, onion and spices; the most bad-ass accompaniment to any dish. We call these our “gateway pickles”, a great pickle for those just dipping their toe in the world of pickles, a brilliant starter jar.
These are an American staple, named during the great Depression when meat and cheese for sandwiches were scarce. These tangy pickled cucumbers were a cheap alternative to put between bread and butter.
All of our pickles lean toward American-style pickles. They are less-sweet and more vinegar-forward than their supermarket counterparts. We like our pickles punchy!!
Eat them in a burger, in between two fat slices of bread and butter, or if you’re a true baddie, enjoy them straight out of the jar!
Tasting Notes: Pickled in a slightly sweet brine (although would still not class this as a ‘sweet’ pickle), turmeric, garlic, onions and mustard. Cut in thick rounds for extra crunch and have a good bit of bite to them. Not dissimilar to a cucumber version of piccalilli.
INGREDIENTS: CUCUMBERS, WATER, SPIRIT VINEGAR, SALT, GARLIC, TURMERIC, BLACK PEPPERCORNS, YELLOW MUSTARD SEEDS*, BLACK MUSTARD SEEDS*
