The Rattlesnake Plant (Calathea lancifolia, also known as Goeppertia insignis) is a striking prayer plant with long, wavy edged leaves patterned in alternating dark and light green markings, all set off by rich purple undersides. Its foliage rises and lowers with the day, folding upward at night in the classic prayer plant habit.

A wonderful choice for a bright bathroom or a humid, shaded corner, it brings pattern, movement and a lush, tropical feel. As a bonus, it is non toxic and pet friendly.
