Copper Spoons, Kalanchoe orgyalis, is grown for its spoon shaped leaves, coated in a velvety bronze felt on top and flashing silver underneath. As it matures it takes on more of that copper colouring, especially with plenty of light.

Its warm, metallic tones make it a lovely contrast plant among greener succulents on a sunny sill.

Care at a glance

Light: Bright light with some direct sun for the best colour

Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings

Humidity: Low, average room humidity is fine

Pet note: Best kept away from pets, as Kalanchoe species are mildly toxic if ingested
