Sometimes called the flamingo flower or painter's palette, Anthurium andreanum 'Livium Orange' brings a warm burst of colour to any room. Glossy, heart shaped leaves frame waxy orange blooms, each with a slender upright spadix, and with the right care it will keep flowering on and off throughout the year.
This is a compact variety, so it's lovely on a desk, a bright windowsill out of direct sun or grouped with leafy greens on a shelf. Each bloom lasts for weeks, which makes it a cheerful and long lasting gift too.
Care at a glance
Light: Bright, indirect light. Harsh direct sun will scorch the leaves.
Water: When the top few centimetres of compost feel dry, and a little less often in winter. Never leave it sitting in water.
Humidity: Happy in average rooms, but it loves a little extra humidity, so a bright bathroom or kitchen suits it well.
Pet note: Best kept away from curious pets and children, as anthuriums can irritate if chewed.
Supplied in a plastic nursery pot. As a living plant, each one is unique and the number of blooms will vary.
