The maranta tricolour is a vibrant and eye-catching prayer plant. It's striking green-and-pink-veined foliage closes up at night, as if in 'prayer'. Each leaf has a maroon underside.

These are low-growing, spreading plants that aren't exactly hanging plants, but look their best when placed on a shelf where they can spread and tumble over the edge.
