The Thai Constellation (Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation') is a sought-after variegated cultivar of the classic Swiss Cheese Plant, its large, glossy, deeply fenestrated leaves splashed and speckled with creamy white and pale yellow like a scattering of stars across a night sky. First cultivated in Thailand, its variegation is stable and appears on both leaves and stems, so every leaf unfurls as a unique piece of natural pattern. Genuinely scarce and slow to propagate, it is a plant collectors seek out.
An evergreen climber, it makes a real centrepiece in a bright room and rewards a moss pole with bigger, more dramatic leaves as it grows. One to give a little room and a well-lit, stable spot.
Light: Bright, indirect light. The creamy areas hold no chlorophyll, so it needs more light than an all-green Monstera, though harsh direct sun will scorch the pale patches.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged, watering when the top of the soil feels slightly dry. Ease back through winter.
Humidity: Enjoys warmth and higher humidity, in keeping with its tropical origins.
Support: Loves a moss pole to climb, developing larger, more fenestrated leaves as it matures.
Pet note: Best kept away from curious pets and children, as the leaves can irritate if chewed.
Supplied in a 12cm nursery pot. As a living plant, size and variegation vary from one to the next, so yours will be one of a kind.
We will select a plant from our stock. Your Monstera won't be the plant pictured. If you would like to choose your plant, please let us know in the cart comments, and we will send you pictures of plants in stock before we ship.
