These are the savoury cousin of the classic French shortbread, made in the same workshop in Sablé sur Sarthe but built for a glass of wine rather than a cup of tea. Onion and paprika give them a warm, slightly smoky edge, and they're properly crunchy, the kind of thing you keep reaching for on a cheese board or beside drinks before dinner.

They come in a small pack, so they're easy to add to a hamper or pick up as a little extra for someone who likes to entertain.
