Named after the California desert, this paper soap smells of desert rain warmed through with wild marigold. Fifty fine leaves sit in a vintage style booklet, and each one melts into a gentle lather as soon as it is wet.

With dry hands, take one leaf, add water, lather and rinse. A little piece of California for a festival bag or a weekend away, and a good small present for anyone who has made the trip out to the desert themselves.

123 Farm grows its ingredients, mostly organic, on the 2,400 acre grounds of Highland Springs Resort in southern California's San Gorgonio Pass. They harvest and distil their own lavender oil every summer, press oil from olive groves more than a hundred years old every autumn, and make their products in small batches.
