The Juthatip Soper produces long, sturdy cups, the upper part of which is a deep red colour. Like all Sarracenias, it produces nectar to attract insects, but the amount of nectar that the plant produces is remarkable. In late summer, plants drip with nectar.
Water: Water with rain water or distilled water.
Keep the soil wet at all times. We recommend setting your pitcher plant in a saucer of water.
Light: Pitcher plants need bright light, either in a sunny spot indoors or outdoors in full sun.
Feeding: Does not require additional plant food.
Soil: Repot in a specialist carnivorous substrate.
Remove Dead Pitchers: Remove any dead or damaged pitchers and leaves as needed.
Prune in Winter: Some pitcher plants may go dormant in winter, and you can prune the leaves and pitchers back to the soil level.
