Soul Sister in bright orange lettering on a white glaze, for the friend who has been there through all of it. Give it wrapped up with a bag of good coffee, or keep one back for yourself and the slow first cup of a Saturday morning.

Sisi make every mug by hand in Europe, dipping each one in its glaze and placing the lettering by hand, so yours will have its own small quirks and may weigh up to ten per cent more or less than its neighbour on the shelf. It measures 8 cm tall and 8 cm wide and holds 200 ml, a neat size for coffee or tea. It is dishwasher proof, but washing by hand will help it stay looking new.
