Watch Chain | Crassula muscosa, easy care trailing succulent with stacked moss like foliage
Sometimes called Watch Chain, Shoelace Plant or Zipper Plant, Crassula muscosa is one of those succulents that earns a double take. Slender upright stems are densely packed with tiny, tightly stacked green leaves that hide the stem completely, giving the whole plant a soft, mossy, almost woven texture. As it grows the stems lengthen and begin to trail, building into a lovely tumble of fine, geometric foliage.
It has a quiet, architectural charm that works beautifully on a sunny windowsill, a shelf where it can spill over the edge, or grouped with other succulents to add height and texture. Low fuss and slow to outgrow its spot, it makes a brilliant first succulent or an easy addition to a growing collection.
